Margaret is usually the first person people speak to when phoning Marisa Home Care looking for in-home help and she says she loves working “the front lines” and having direct contact with families.
Her primary responsibility is to listen carefully to needs the caller describes. The caller may be describing tasks with which he or she needs help. Most often, however, the call comes from a family member looking for home help on behalf of a loved one.
“I enjoy being busy and helping clients. My job takes someone who understands the details and knows all of the medical and insurance lingo. I’ve experienced home care personally and I know how important is is to have a reliable, dedicated caregiver.
I feel like I belong here. The company offers so much more to employees and to clients — it feels more like a family than a corporation. Marisa Home Care even covers tasks for clients that an extra volunteer would do…I work with people who truly care.”
Margaret has a ten-year-old son, Freddie, and they moved to Michigan from Indiana nine years ago. Her background is in hospice and medical office management; her expertise (and caring personality) is a welcome addition to the Marisa staff!
